jp2001 Posted October 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2006 To expand your choices for less, on my last cruise, all speciality restaurants (but not a-la-carte items such as sushi and Teppenyaki) were 50% off on all 5:30 and 6:00pm seatings, you should ask if they have the same special when you make the reservation. Shogun would then be only 6$pp, including the 50% rebate and it is VERY GOOD. La Trattoria was good but unfortunately I was not hungry so I didn't enjoy my meal as much as I could have. As another poster said, 2 dinning rooms (same menu) are also free and no reservation required. The other options listed are way more casual (buffet, 24 hr eatery, BBQ, pubs, etc.) but can be an option if you'd like. Prices for the extra-charge restaurants are as follow (only the 3 first ones have 50% discount on some nights or some sailings): Cagney's - 20$ (25$ for special items) Bistro - 15$ Shogun restaurant - 12$ Teppenyaki (located in Shogun)- a-la-carte pricing ranging from 10$-15$ pp Sushi (located in Shogun) - a-la-carte pricing (don't know exact prices)

lbt43 Posted October 5, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2006 The specialty places were alright, but we liked windows the best for dinner.
johnql Posted October 5, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2006 Personally, I would recommend Le Bistro (excellent filet mignon, wonderful mushroom soup, and delicious chocolate fondue), Cagney's (great steaks), or Teppanyaki (fun food-preparation show and very tasty entrees). I think they're all worth the nominal surcharge.
disfan13 Posted October 6, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2006 We tried Le Bistro, Shogun and Cagney's. I liked Le Bistro the best but all were fantastic!
