CT Granny Posted October 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2006 We are looking into booking a round trip on one of the Hurtigruten ships in late May 2007. Since it will be light for so many hours, would an inside room be preferable for sleeping or would we miss the views from our cabin? Is there a 'best' deck for a smoother voyage? Fore or aft? Our previous cruising experience has been on small ships in Alaska and the St. Lawrence Seaway. So far, we have had no problems with seasickness. Thanks in advance for your help. Druke I Posted October 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2006 We had an outside (deck 6, #646) on Nordnorge, 7-00, and had no problem sleeping - cabin is equipped with heavy curtains that do a good job keeping light out. We don't care for inside cabins. Gret trip!
nowornever Posted October 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2006 We had a small suite, #664, on the stern. It was lovely & I think worth the small extra cost, so roomy, even a small frige. loved it.
gtalum Posted October 18, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2006 I think it's worth it to go for an outside. The curtains block out most of the light. There is scenery that you couldmiss otherwise.
