Rasual couples massage

I have read about the Rasual couples massage on the RCL threads. My wife and I will be on the Rhapsody in January and was wondering if this was offered on Rhapsody.

 

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Search "Rasual" and you will find many posts on this subject. All I can say is that we did a similar treatment on Disney and it was great! We will be doing the Rasual on our upcoming RCCL cruise. (BTW: It isn't a massage).

Although we enjoyed it, we found it almost too hard to breath in there!!! For us, once was enough!

Thanks...found some more info on it. Helps with the right spelling I guess. Can't seem to locate a price for this couples massage. Does anyone have a price for this service. Also can I book this thru my travel agent?

No, you can't book it through your travel agent. You book it with the spa after you get onboard and the cost is $83.

I think they are asking about the Couple's massage, not the Rasual. The Rasual is around $83... right? The Couple's massage is a lot more, I believe.

yes... there was so much steam at times it seemed like there was no escape?!? Maybe it was just us... like I said, we had fun... but once was enough.

There's also a couple's massage class, I believe it was $50 and it included getting a bottle of massage oil. Good fun!

From some of the comments I have seen, it isn't worth the the $90 to do this then? Is it truly romantic, or just a lot of fun in a secluded area where anything can go?

I think it depends on the person. We love steam rooms/wet saunas, so the steam is not an issue for us. It is the highlight of our cruise. We start serious, applying all the products in the correct order (so your skin feels great after!) and then we have fun...

It depends what you make of it. We've done it 3 times and always enjoyed it. Looking forward to doing it again on our next cruises.

o.k. I have to ask. Is the mud all in big tub or do you have jars of it? If it is in one big tub do they empty it after each couple is through? I just am having trouble picturing(?) this!

the stuff is either in a little bowl or in a bottle. it is not a big tub of mud that people jump into. the way it works from my understanding is that there is a tiled room. in the middle of the room is a table where they put out these products. on one end of the room is a partition to a shower room and on the other is a partition to the rain spa deal. you do what you need to do in any (or all) of the rooms

With what everyone has said about this "massage", I am sold. Now to try and convince the DW and ditch the DD's at the same time for an hour. Any suggestions as to how I can convince her that this would be a nice time at the spa? Any idea what the hours are on the FOS for this service? We have some items planned and would not want this to interfere.

 

The info you have provided and links to previous threads sold me, now I need to sell the DW! HELP!
