I'm not sure if people already know this is possible but I wanted to share my experience. I had booked a VH guarantee cabin back in September on the Nov 19th Westerdam sailing. I kept checking to find out my cabin assignment and a couple weeks ago I found out I was upgraded to a VA cabin on the Navigation deck. I was happy with the upgrade. Just yesterday I checked expedia.com just to see if any cabins were still available and saw there was a VA aft cabin available on the Upper Promenade deck and I decide to call HA just to see if they would switch me. They did! From what I've read on here my new cabin assignment 4181 is a bigger stateroom with a bigger balcony than a standard balcony stateroom and I couldn't be more excited! I didn't want to push my luck but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask and I'm glad I did.
