Sugar*Magnolia Posted April 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Greetings All, I seem to be finding alot of dated threads today & Im bringing 'em back! (apparently lol) My grandparents sailed on the Oceanic and I am also looking for memorabilia, any type of old vtg stuff having to do with Ocean liners. I have looked alot on eBay but I havent found much at all. Does anyone know of any web sites that deal specifically in maritime memorabilia? Any info would be greatly appreciated! modelman Posted July 12, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2007 There are normally a bunch of nice items on ebay for the Home Lines, one of my favorites as well. Try this search, looking in both ebay and ebay stores: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&combine=y&catref=C6&frpp=100&from=R10&fstype=1&satitle=home+lines&sacat=35962%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=02891&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=2%26fsoo%3D2&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 12, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 12, 2007 This was the first cruise line that I ever went on back when I was a teenager and we went on our first family cruise. We went on the Homeric. I have wonderful memories of this cruise line and the cruise. Keith

PURPLEGIRLY Posted April 9, 2008 #10 Share Posted April 9, 2008 SSTRAVELER, I to loved the Doric and Oceanic. Went on them back in the 80's and have such wonderful memories. I have some of the postcards, but I am in the process of making a scrapbook of those cruises. It nice to see someone out there that loved those ships as much as I did. Talk about being treated like royalty, nothing like it.

THEcanvasback Posted June 22, 2011 #13 Share Posted June 22, 2011 Does anyone know where/who to get some nautical/cruise ship antiques authenticated and/or appraised. I have a few and I'm not sure if I want to part with them or if I need to get them insured. Thanks for the help.
signguyandy Posted April 17, 2015 #14 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Please look at my website, http://www.cruiseshipstuff.com. I know there is a black marble paper-weight from the Oceanic, Commemorative coin, ashtray, and playing card set from the Doric?

happytogetherj&j Posted May 16, 2016 #16 Share Posted May 16, 2016 My husband and I went on the Homeric in 1989. Somewhere in this house I have the menus and recipes for certain dishes. It was put together in a lovely folder. Also, I have our first cruise picture. The Homeric was a lovely ship, fond memories of our first cruise to Bermuda from New York.
