ETski Posted January 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2007 Has anyone stayed in the aft cabins on Deck 9. Wondering if you can hear noise from above the kids pool. My cousin is in the process of booking and agent is telling her it may be noisy.
cruzforme Posted January 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2007 I have the same question. I have 3 cabins I am looking into booking and they appear to be directly under the kids pool. The are inside cabins. Anyone stayed in the aft of Deck 9??
amy86 Posted January 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2007 Hi there! We just got back from the 1/2-1/13 Spirit sailing. We had penthouse 9710 - directly in the far aft, directly under the pool. I was a little worried that we might hear noise, but we didn't head a single thing from the pool. Even when we were on the balcony. I will tell you that the vibrations from the engines can be felt more in the far aft than anywhere else, but it really didn't bother us - it just felt like we were on a ship. We slept great and all the glasses in our rooms already had padding so they didn't clink around. No complaints, and we would book the aft on the Spirit again in an instant. :)
logcabin Posted January 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2007 We stayed in the deck nine aft Owners Suite this past summer. We never heard a sound from the pool above. We, too, were worried about that. But, not a sound. There is vibration from the engine. Especially when going full speed. But nothing that really bothered us. We loved the Spirit and the aft suite. Cool-Kid Posted January 17, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2007 Just got back on 1/13/07. We were in an inside room 9199. We heard a noise coming from upstairs one morning but honestly we heard more noise from the hallway outside than from the kids area upstairs. Cheers
firecapt25 Posted January 17, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2007 From the rear of the ship is it easy to get to other decks from there and same here will we hear the kids area since we are right up under them. Also do we need to make reservation soon as we get on for Cagney's. First time sailing with NCL
cruzforme Posted January 17, 2007 #9 Share Posted January 17, 2007 Yes make reservations when you board is what I have learned from these boards. My first time to sail on NCL is in March and I will make my reservations first upon boarding:) Hope you have fun!
CPT Trips Posted January 17, 2007 #10 Share Posted January 17, 2007 From the rear of the ship is it easy to get to other decks from there and same here will we hear the kids area since we are right up under them. Also do we need to make reservation soon as we get on for Cagney's. First time sailing with NCL You will be close to the food - Windows and Raffles use the aft elevators (as does the main showroom) and Garden Room and Raffles use the midship bank.
