AndyPanda Posted January 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2007 Just curious. How large is the Casino on the Maasdam? How many BJ tables? My hands are getting sweaty! 4 weeks to go!! I'm thinking about buying myself some onboard credit so I won't have to travel w/ our casino cash. Will HAL charge me when I make a withdrawal at the casino casheir? Has anyone done this? Thanks, Andy

Stevesan Posted January 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Due to the ship's size, the casino is relatively small, populated primarily by slot machines (not unlike land casinos). There are a "few" blackjack tables, though. Your best bet:p is BYO cash, travelers checks or prepaying. There's a 3% service fee for cash advances. NapTown Jim Posted January 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2007 I seem to recall about 4 card (BL?) tables, 1 craps table & 1 roulette table plus a bunch of slot machines in the Maasdam casino. I never played so I can't say anything about the cash advance against stateroom credit.

Sea King Posted January 22, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 22, 2007 congratulations! you're in luck:D Maasdam does indeed have blackjack tables along with craps, roulette and carribean poker .. and of course, rows of slot machines the casino IMO is actually very nice: moderate size (considering the ship carries only 1,200 pax) and features its very own bar with small tv screens showing sports .. there is also bar service available at the machines or tables you should be aware that the casino also allows smoking hope you enjoy:)

Same as what you said.:) You can go to the purser's desk and make a cash deposit to your onboard account.

bambidrummer Posted June 2, 2014 #10 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Does anyone know what the casino is like now in 2014? Room key for cash in slots? Let It Ride for a card game?
jaspersmycat Posted June 2, 2014 #11 Share Posted June 2, 2014 I was on the Maasdam in April. There were 4 blackjack tables. The slot machines all used your room key but cash (bills only) could be used. They also has craps, Let it Ride, and 3-card poker. I bought 20 $10 chips thru the HAL website. I was surprised to receive 20 gift cards - one for each $10. I had to sign each one and then they gave me 2 one hundred dollar bills. I'm not sure how it works with OBc credits. Krazy Kruizers Posted June 2, 2014 #12 Share Posted June 2, 2014 If you win -- you can no longer cash out at the slot machines. Thus you don't hear any change coming out of the machines. You have to go to the cashier to cash out.
bambidrummer Posted June 4, 2014 #13 Share Posted June 4, 2014 Do the slots on Maasdam payout in pay slips like vegas or do they put it on your ship card like carnival?
