What HAL ships have cell service?

Just curious...which HAL ships now have cell service while at sea?

It's just a question....I'm not advocating or slamming cell phone use at sea. (I know this is a subject that can raise passions--that's not my intent here.)

Its available on Noodam and is expected to be fleetwide this year

whatever rates we have with our cell phones. My only interest is that we can check with my adult stepson who will be watching our animals while we are gone.

 

I def hate the idea of ringings phones on the ship...but its nice to have in case of an emergency instead of telling family they need to give Hal their ctredit card and the charge id $16.00 per minute.

It worked on the Volendam in November. I didn't use the service except to send a few text messages which were the normal $.10/message.

The wiring was being installed on the Zaandam during the 01/05 sailing, so I expect it will be in service there shortly.

That's good to know....we have Verizon. Which type of service do we need to have cell service on the Noordam in two weeks?
