I Just Saved 420.00 On A Reduced Rate!!!

YAAAAAAAAAAY.... I just checked carnival's site to see if rates decreased for my 5/27 cruise on the Legend and for the 6 people in my party in 2 cabins I just got a reduction for 420.00. i was trying to hold out till the last day to pay for final balnce of 1425.22 just in case I couldnt get OBC and now I get to knock 420.00 off of that. I am so excited!!! So my advice is check, check, and check AGAIN Carnival's websites for reductions in rates!!!

YAAAAAAAA....that is wonderful.

 

My PVP called me a while back that our rate went down $280.00 (I never check these things) on our Victory cruise and we are also thrilled.

 

Love saving money!!!

Yay! That is great! I'm crossing my fingers but so far the only thing I've seen on ours is it going the wrong the direction. Hoping for a Friends and Family discount, but pretty sure with summer here Carnival doesnt need to entice people to cruise, so almost sure it won't happen till after our cruise.

 

Have lots of fun! And enjoy the extra money you have to spend on other stuff now!

Every time I see these posts I go to CCL website and check my cruise. I am very excited for everyone that gets a price cut. Last year I got so excited over $40 pp (hey, every little bit counts) This cruise just keeps going up and up. The way I look at it...I have saved $370 pp because that is how much more my room costs now:D

Where/how did you find this info? I can't seem to find any reduction on Carnival's website for my category.

 

Then again, we booked about 4 months ago, and prices may still never go down to lower than when we booked.

How do you check to see if prices have gone down? Do you find your cruise date and then act like you are booking it? We have a Category 12 booked, so is there much chance prices on that cat. will go down? Also, what is a PVP? Thanks!

I check prices by going to the Carnival website and go through the motions of booking a cruise. I also check other internet sites to see if they are offering any better deals.

 

A PVP is a Personal Vacation Planner, I think.

You are correct. A PVP works for Carnival and books your cruise. They also have CVS (I think that is their title Cruise Vacation Specialist) that answer the phones at Carnival. There is some small difference between the two but heck if I know what it is!! I do know that my PVP does not "answer the phones". He has an extention.

I checked today, and we got a $320 price reduction! I'm so excited! We're going on the Spirit in November, so there's still plenty more time for it to drop, and I'll keep checking. I'm doing the happy dance over here too! :D

 

I was going to pay it off early, but I think I'll wait now, because I'd rather have the $$$ than the OBC. But, if it drops after final payment is due, will they still give you OBC if the price drops?

WE'RE IN A 4C AND WAS OFFERED THE UPGRADE TO 4E PLUS GOT 420.00 REDUCTION. BECAUSE WE HAVE THE 2 CABINS AND IT WAS A MUST FOR THEM TO BE CLOSE, I OPTED NOT TO MOVE BUT ACCEPTED THE SAVING OF 420.00.

 

I FOUND IT BY GO ON CARNIVAL'S SITE AND PRETENDING TO BOOK A CRUISE. THERE IS WHERE THE NEW RATE WAS POSTED SO I CALLED MY TA...

We are booked on the 3/15/07 Spirit cruise and have two cabins (Cat 11 wrap and inside across the hall). Noticed today that prices are dropping for this cruise. So I called and we were offered moving from the 4D inside to an 8F cabin just a few doors down the hall from the Cat. 11. So I took it! This is on top of over $1000 in savings since first booking 14 months ago. So book early and watch things all the time. Wow!!!
