Glad you had a great trip. Our first time sailing with be on the inspiration. Any good tips? I could use them. Leave in a week.

I have a stupid question about towels by the pool, do you check them out or just take whatever you want. Also, do you know if the dining room is open for lunch on port days? Thank you.

We went on our honeymoon on the INspiration in May of this year, and we had a blast. The only complaint that we had was the movement of the ship. Did you all encounter this when you went? We had so much fun....if anyone wants pics feel free to e-mail me at Brizicurn@aol.com....just make sure to put that you are a cruise critic member int he subject line so I won't delete

Just back from 7/25 sailing what a SHIP!

Not one bad word to say about the whole week.

If you are sailing on her trust me yo will enjoy your cruise.

Great News to hear!! I will be sailing on her for the 1st time in October. Have sailed many Fantasy Class ships in the past. One question specific to the Inspiration that I have been asked in the past, is there a Sushi Bar on the ship?

Thanks for any info and I sure hope that you post a full review!

We sailed the Inspiration on our first cruise March 02. This ship is the best!

In fact, we sailed the Trumiph in June 03 & was disappointed. The food along with the service is excellent! Ports of call are awesome :)

Hi Everyone,

I have sailed on Elation, Victory, Truimph, and now Inspiration.

Inspiration is my favorite, older yes but you would never know it.

She is so clean! I to was worried about her size and age let me tell you i will always go on this size of ship. The lunch buffet lines were very small and there was no problem getting a seat for the show. I had the late dinner seating it was all great.Table 216

Sushi Bar opens at 5:30 to 8:30pm

Towels we just took the nice big blue ones from the room but don't lose it cause it will cost you $25.00.

You have to stay on the deck about 45min after sailing until the ship goes under the bridge it is really something else, don't miss it.

Bring about $20.00 in singles for the room service tips I did this and it worked out so well.

Power strip only one outlet

Hair Dryer there are none.

Small fan I like it really cold (ship is very comfortable)

We got to the port around 11:00 and we were on the ship at noon!

Excursions: Belize, booked Coral Breeze on the internet it was awesome and hassle FREE

Cozumel: Get a cab and tell them to take you to Paradise Beach its free and awesome, water sports and floating mats, snorkel equipment all free! Then hit Carlos and Charlies!! WOW

Grand Caymen: Singray tour you have to do it.

The cruise director is awesome and the entire staff is so friendly always cleaning and shineing her up.

Have a great trip

Anymore questions let me know I wouold love to answer them.

Just got back from the Inspiration yesterday due to flight delays and cancellations. I still do not have my luggage. Overall we had a good trip. I love the ports we visited. Lots to do at each stop. The food was good but not as good as we had on the Sensation in 2000. Our wait staff in the dining room was excellent-we had table 112 at the late seating with Sarwar and Angela. Our cabin steward was also very good. The only people I can complain about is the bartenders. Sometimes they would just ignore you when you went up to the bar. We finally just sat at tables and waited for the servers to take our orders. They were very good.

We loved the sushi bar. We went every night before dinner. They also had drink specials that we enjoyed. Martinis are $2.95 on the first or second night of the cruise. It is right next to the sushi bar. They also have drink specials each night. Just ask the servers.

Excursions- Grand Cayman-We walked into town and got an island tour for $15pp ($39 on the ship). Part of our group did the stingray tour with Nativeway and loved it. After the tour we snorkeled at Eden Rock. Saw some big fish.

Costa Maya-took a cab into town and went to a bar on the beach that had chairs while our children swam. Very relaxing and beautiful place.

Cozumel-only ship excursion taken-dolpin swim and snorkel. Had a good time doing this. Spent some more time at the park then took a cab to town to shop.

Belize-my favorite stop. Went cave tubing with x-tream. What an experience! Make sure you are in fairly good shape and the ability to swim would be helpful. Really enjoyed the lunch you could buy for $5. Other family members enjoyed the Belize beer. We also had some time to shop at the port area. Go to the pharmacy if you need any medicine. You can buy anything you need there and the pharmacist is very helpful.

Overall an enjoyable cruise. Any questions?

So glad to hear y'all had wonderful cruises. One question, are the formal nights on Monday and Friday? I usually rent a tux but am thinking about just going with suits this time around. Did you see many men wearing tuxes during your cruise? Thanks!

Great to hear good things about the Inspiration. I am cruising with a group next May. I have a few questions. We have some teenagers who will likely spend a lot of time in the arcade. Do you know if the arcade uses quarters or dollars? Same question with the laundry. Do the machines use quarters or dollars? Can you get complimentary cappucino or espresso after dinner? Is there a specialty coffee bar on Inspiration? Thanks for any info.

We had the late seating at dinner and I only saw one or two men in a tux and very few women in long dresses.

Thanks for the info nibbles. I guess I won't feel out of place with a suit instead of tux.

Just returned from the Inspiration July 25....Sulked for days.....

You will love this ship!!

Q&A:14 yo and 10 yo both loved it. Plenty to do and all the pizza and ice cream you can eat (luckily they can still eat 50,000 calories a day)

Arcade: 10 yo took dollars and played. I don't know if she had to get change or not, but it must not have been too difficult..If you need "real" money go to the casino for change etc...they have cash.. Also go immediately and get the springy cord lanyard thingy for your S&S card (they will punch hole). It has a clip at other end. I hooked it to belt loops, purse on port days, wore as a belt, etc...

Laundry: yes we did do one load of laundry. Empress deck all the way forward. You need 4 quarters to wash and 4 quarters to dry. I took one bag of dry laundry powder in a ziploc, or they have dispenser machines in there. Also 2 irons..(someone was ironing denim shorts....not on MY vacation will I iron shorts!!)

Suit: DH wore an olive green suit and looked smashing! I don't recall seeing tuxes, but they were probably there if I looked hard enough. I had a mid-length black cocktail dress and felt really dressed up (for me)

Dining Room: Table 123 in the back corner near the window. We were bummed about being in the back corner at first, but Richard from the Phillipines and Dora from (? Slovakia? Czech?) were fabulous. Richard's wife is expecting their first child in Oct and he gets off the ship in Sept. Found out it is a girl while we were cruising.

Aft Pool Deck: Best place to sit, relax, watch the water, drink, etc. less crowded than big pool. Better breezes too. Elvis (really!) from Jamaica is the best drink waiter, just a little wave and he brings you another drink of the day. It's like MAGIC!!

Can you tell I LOVED this ship!!?!?!?!?!

Thanks for your thoughts ParrotheadMel! Funny, I have an olive green 3 piece suit I was planning to take. When we were on the Elation a few years ago my sons were able to get coins for the arcade through a couple of change machines in the arcade. Don't remember if they were tokens or quarters though. Did you get the lanyards from the purser's desk or in the casino?

I got mine from the casino. Very friendly folks. They just love to give you change for a hundred, so you can feed the hungry machines in $20 increments...

Although, when everyone puts their cards connected to the stretchy lanyard into the slots for their ocean player points, they do look like they are umbilically connected to a machine.
