Embarkation day

I normally board, stash my luggage in the cabin & head up to the Lido deck to get some food. Then I look for my muster station & grab my lifejacket & head over to it. After muster DW & I hang out on the balcony & watch the ship leave port. We usually try to get a nap in then head up for supper.

Embarkment day goes fast....pending what time you board, if our room is ready we usually head there first, drop our carryon stuff. We are usually hungry so lido deck will have a buffet for lunch..grab a bite, sit outside if nice and start "sunning" depending on the time we will explore the ship some. Muester drill (mandatory safty drill) usually takes place about 30 mins before sailing so we do that then return our life vests to our room and then head to the top of the boat to sail away....pending the port you are leaving from...sail away is 30 mins.Miami is my fav as it takes about 30 mins just to get out to the open water, I love watching the boaters and sometimes 2 ships are heading out right together so its fun to wave to them as you pass. Its fun to sit and watch folks, we always do the late dinner (8pm) so often I take sunset photos. Freshen up a bit, maybe change clothes if luggage has arrived and off to dinner/show.

If you traveled a bit...some may grab a nap when they board or after we sail before dinner if your the late seating. Maybe its a good time for a cocktail and a stroll around the boat..shops usually open once we get alittle ways out. Some hit the casino once it opens, usually not real crowded and its a good time to have the dealer teach you how to play one of the tables.

Eat, grab a drink, check out our table location, wander the ship, attend lifeboat drill, grab another drink, head to open deck to enjoy the sail away, grab another drink, sit around and talk, eat dinner, grab another drink, attend welcome aboard show, hit the blackjack table, have a few more drinks, wander into a few bars, go eat some pizza, and finally make our way back to our cabin for the evening around 2AM. All that accomplished in one sentence!:D
