Cash from SS card

The ATM machines they don't last too long,They are usually empty on the second day, that is if you can find them

All of those that I have seen on Carnival might last longer if they would stock them with 100's instead of 20's.

If I want to sit down at the BJ table with $500 - I would be somewhat hesitant to plop down 25 $20 bills. I suppose the ATM is more for $5 table and slot players.

Your total cost of going to the ATM for $500 (including most bank charges - assuming it is a DEBIT card coming out of checking) would be less than $10. If you go to the cage or table and use your S&S card, the fee would be $15.

If you have your S&S card backed with a traditional credit card, it would DEFINITELY be cheaper to incur the 3% charge to your account. This will, in the end, process against your credit card as a purchase rather than a cash advance... big difference!

We were just on the Triumph and my sister needed to get more cash. We went to the casino and she got money put on her s&s card, played a little bit and then went to the cashier and got the cash. NO 3% charge.

I had the same experience on the Triumph in March. No 3% surcharge on table advances. No one believed me, though.

Not true Rob, we believed you, we just found it strange the Triumph is doing that and not other ships.

I have seen a variety of things in casinos. The majority of lines do charge a surcharge. Then again, I have had them waive it for me as they figured out that I spent a lot of time in the casino as I was too lazy to go back to my room and get cash.

The only thing for sure is nothing's for sure.

I enjoyed a waiver of the 3% on the Legend - but they were already into me for a big chunk of change....

I think it is at the discretion of the pit bosses - or more specifically - the casino management.
