please don't rock the boat!

I am a motion sickness person. I get sick on water taxi's, planes, buses, cars and trains. I've done two Oceania Cruises, one in the Western Med, the other a Panama Canal Transit. (Still haven't done an Eastern Med cruise.)

I can relate to your comment re the headache as a precurser to motion sickness. I have been hit with that headache so many times I've lost count.

If you can handle "The Patch", you should be fine. We had an extremely rough day on the Western Med and another on the Canal Transit. The ship rocked a bit, but was smoother than the Marco Polo on a Baltic Cruise.

I was fine with "The Patch" on each. I carry the Relief Band, just in case, but did not need it. Bonine and Ginger do not work for me.

Do book a cabin mid-ship. The ride is smoother there.

By now I am sure you have the main ideas:

The Mediterranean is rarely as rough as the larger oceans.

Booking a mid-ship cabin helps a lot.

Let me add that booking a lower deck helps some also ('though not as important as being mid-ship). So mid-ship and low is best. In this case cheaper is actually better.
