Cigarettes in St Thomas

If I buy cigs in St Thomas will they take them from me until then end of the cruise?

No - I have done this - the only thing they will take is Liquor. Cigi's are ok.

There is a tabacco shop in the shopping area right at the port in St Thomas. I cannot remember the exact price but they were cheaper than on the ship.

If you are going to St. Martin on the same cruise, wait and buy your cigs there.............even cheaper than St. Thomas. We did buy cigs in St. Thomas one time, and bought them at the K-Mart, which is two blocks from the pier.....

Not going to St. Maarten but at least I know now it sounds like I should come with a pack or two and purchase anymore I might want in St.Thomas!!

You are permitted to bring home more cartons from St. Thomas........U.S. Territory. We don't smoke but I remember inquiring and I think you can bring five cartons into the U.S. Duty Free from St. Thomas but only one or maybe two from St. Maartin.

It also depends on your brand. Mine were about $15.00 (Carlton) but my sisters Pall Mall were $8.00
