Cruizin Dan Posted April 16, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2004 Well were renting a car in Skagway to drive the Yukon Hgwy.In Juneau doing the Mendenhall Glacier and Wildlife tour.In Ketchikan have nothing booked and I thought I would wait until we dock to see what the weather is like before booking an excursion. Any suggestions for Ketchikan that we should not miss? cruiser dan
Cartib Posted April 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2004 Cruisen' Dan - there are 2 new tours offered in Ketchikan for the 2004 season that look interesting. "Adventure Kart & Jet Boat Expedition" (sold on the ships) and "Harley Davidson Motorcycle Tour" (sold only on HAL and on the internet: ride@panhandlemoto.com You must have a motorcycle endorsement on your license to ride the Harleys or go as a passenger. Budget Queen Posted April 17, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2004 For clairfication- it is the Klondike Highway. I would have plans for ketchikan. Waiting until you are there will have very limited availablity. Easy to get will be bus trips, consider picking up a walking tour map and strolling the city. Top for me is a Misty Fjords floatplane.

mscloyd Posted April 19, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Cruizin Dan- If you purchase a toursaver book ($99 new) there is a SE Avaitaion coupon 2 for 1 which saves $199. Plus lots of other coupons you might be able to use in other ports.
Cruizin Dan Posted April 30, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted April 30, 2004 Mscloyd where do I get the discount book? cruiser dan
mscloyd Posted April 30, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 30, 2004 The toursaver book can be purchased on toursaver.com. Click on "The Deals" at the top to view all the coupons. I called all the vendors that I was interested in using coupons for before purchasing the book. Some vendors may have restrictions or not have availability on the day you want. If your trip is early in the season, you might be able to sell the rest of the book after the trip.
