Water Shoes Needed for Princess Cay?

If we do snorkeling on Princess Cay do we need water shoes? How about any of the beaches in St. Martin or St. Thomas?

I would say yes--there are various areas with a rocky bottom.

from my experience there you need them on the beach as well. Getting to the beach is across rocks. Although I like princess much better than HAL, half moon cay was a much better private beach and island.

AZbeachboy - I think that HAL's Half Moon Cay is nicer than Princess's Princess Cays also. Larger, much more to do - even horseback riding. But I, too, prefer Princess overall.

 

As for water shoes, I think you need them at Princess Cays in the water in most areas, and some type shoe on the beach as well. The sand gets really hot and there are sometimes sharp coral bits in it.

We must have tough tootsies, as we have never needed water shoes at Princess Cays.
