BAJAN -and Trini- DESTINY Cruise, early May 2007

Carnival Destiny made a special cruise Apr.30th. - May 4th.

out of Barbados -to Antigua-to Sint Maarten-to St.Lucia-back to Barbados

with about 1,550 of us Bajans on board, along with 400 Trini's!

If you have to ask.. What's a "Bajan"? ..and What's a "Trini"?

...you didn't make this cruise, sorry!

We had a great,virtually-smoke-free cruise, many of us were first-timers

getting our first taste of the good life of cruising.

Many of us took pictures.

How many of you have posted pics on the internet somewhere?

Maybe you should consider doing so.

I've posted my better pix at www.photobucket.com for you to see.

Hopefully you did the same,too...maybe at a different website

(there are lots of similar photo websites, these days)

Here's the link to my collection of Bajan Destiny cruise pics worth showing around.

http://s177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/aplmac/

Be sure to click on the various sub-albums you'll see listed, when you get there.

Categories include the obvious....destinations Antigua, St.Maarten, St.Lucia

and the not so obvious...Destiny interiors, Islands in the distance, etc.

Please post a link to your website displaying your Bajan Destiny cruise photos!

If you haven't used an internet website to assemble and share,

but would still like to post a few individual pics to this thread,

please feel free to do so - that's what this is all about!

Don't be shy!

Looking forward to your photographic contributions.

Thanks for listening.. Thank you for participating.

I could only imagine the disco with all those Trinis!!

Hear dis, nah......Did they serve doubles? Slight pepper?

NO bad behaviour: the Trinis on board were a staid, inconspicuous lot!

My wife is a Trini, too so we could spot dem in de Bajan crowd,

but by and large they remained invisible.

Can't speak for what may have transpired after 11 p.m.,

by which time me an de Madam done crash fuh de night,

but we had several grand-daus. on board with us

who were 'out' until 1 p.m. and they reported nothing in the Disco,

where they used to haunt (boys!)

Doubles? Yuh think dis is Curepe?

No...most unfortunately, NO doubles on Destiny!

The food was okay though! - nothing gastronomique,

but certainly nice food.

I found the starters to be very good, and the desserts, too.

Main courses were good too,

but I wasn't there "to eat" like some cruisers do.

This is what DESTINY looks like,

sailing away from Bridgetown Harbour, in Barbados

If you look carefully,

you can see the Pilot Boat waiting to take him off

via the still-open door, low down near the waterline
