anniversarycruiser40 Posted June 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2007 We will be traveling from LAX to Papeete on Air Tahiti Nui. On their web site for luggage I noticed : carry-on=1pp, max of 48" (L+W+Depth). Check-on= 2pp 62" max (L+W+D). Anyone traveling on this airline have any problems? Do they measure all the Bags? We measured our bags and almost all of them are too large, even the standard 21" carry on is too large. I would sure hate to have to buy all new bags !!! Weight limit is 22#/50# which is no problem for us. Anyone else???
Spikesgirl Posted June 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2007 Unless they have changed drastically since we fle them in 2004, we didn't have any trouble with traditionally sized bags, but we always check our luggage through. They do have a box that is used to measure the carry-on's and they do use it. My DH's computer bag just made it through. If you haven't, you might want to post this over on the Pacific Islands site (under Ports of Call) and ask there. The info will be more up to date than ours. Enjoy your crusie! margord Posted June 20, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2007 I agree. When we flew Air Tahiti Nui we had no problems. We did not notice them measuring the luggage. By the way, we really liked this airline.
Toto2Kansas Posted June 20, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2007 I honestly think they are more aware of the weight, then the actual size, as long as it is within reason.
