suntanzi Posted August 18, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2004 Hi How does luggage retrieval work after the cruise? We are not going to the airport, we are staying in Barcelona a few days.
Rare Hlitner Posted August 18, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2004 Its similar as in any other port. You will simply claim your luggage in the terminal building. Its just a short walk to the door where there is an adjacent taxi stand. A taxi to anywhere in the city will take about 10 min. Hank
suntanzi Posted August 18, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted August 18, 2004 ok, thanks. My last cruise was 12 years ago so I don't remember what happens. I am guessing you mean the luggage is picked up from us and put somewhere in a terminal for us to find?
bob278 Posted August 18, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2004 suntanzi, Yes. On the last night, you need to pack and then put your your luggage (keep a bag for your night-time stuff and valuables, essentially what would be your carry-on for the flight) outside your cabin door by midnight. You will get color-coded tags to put on them. The color signifies what sequence you get off in the morning. If you do not have a flight and are not in a suite, you will be one of the last groups to go. When you are called, you will leave the ship and go into the terminal/customs area. The bags will be grouped by the colored tags for you to claim. We're doing the same thing next spring. We get off the Brilliance on a Thursday and won't leave Barcelona until Saturday. Really looking forward to that.
