Star: Wine glasses, ashtrays, corkscrew furnished

We're in an AF mini-suite and have ordered a bar set up for our room, including a couple of bottles of wine. Will we get wine glasses? cocktail glasses? Also, we're smokers - are ashtays furnished? (Please, no diatribe - just information). Thanks a lot.

We were in an owner's suite last year on the Star (and will be again 9/15) and corkscrews, wine glasses and cocktail glasses were all in the little bar area. We asked our butler for ash trays (first one to come see us). I would imagine if they aren't there you just need to ask for them.

When your wine is delivered they will include a corkscrew and glasses. With your bar setup there will be glasses in your room. But the best glasses are the glass-looking plastic ones from the pool deck!

If you don't have an ashtray in your cabin, just ask your steward or grab one from the pool deck (I know the pool deck people hate when you do that because then all the ashtrays disappear... ) but the pool deck ashtrays are best for your balcony -- don't have to worry about anything blowing out...

If you ordered a bar set up that needs mixers/sodas, you must order them also or bring them with you.

Your cabin steward will bring an ashtray if one if not in your cabin.

You may need to ask for a corkscrew also (they seem to disappear) or bring one with you:)

Thanks for all the info. I thought smoking was no longer allowed on the decks??

Here's the text from NCL's FAQ on smoking:

We want you to be comfortable on board, so public areas throughout all NCL ships are smoke free. If you smoke cigarettes, you can do so in your stateroom, on your balcony, in the casino or Cigar Bar (where available). If you prefer pipes or cigars, you can smoke in the Cigar Bar or designated smoking lounge. Also, you can smoke cigarettes, pipes and cigars outside on open decks (just not around food venues, sport decks, kids’ pool areas and other designated non-smoking areas).

So, smoking is still allowed on open decks, just not everywhere.

Again, thanks for all your help. We ARE courteous smokers. It was nice not to be "flamed" like the poor person who asked about tanning booths!!

"Don't count your chickens..."...the "flamers" probably did not catch up with you yet;)

you should have no problems getting an ashtray or two for your cabin: corkscrew will be delivered with the wine, and yes, you can smoke on deck. Actually you already had all these answers, but I gave them to you again.
