10/31 Sailing - Hiva Ova canceled - any info??

Hi. Just wondering if anyone knows anymore about this notice we saw this morning... Thanks in advance.

 

NOTIFICATION 1

*** VOYAGE ITINERARY MODIFIED ***

 

Please be advised that due to operational requirements, the port call

to Hiva Oa has been cancelled. In addition, the port times in Rangiroa

and Raiatea have been revised and are now as follows:

 

Rangiroa - November 6, 2007 - arrive at 8:00 a.m.

November 7, 2007 - depart at 12:00 p.m.

Raiatea - November 8, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

 

We look forward to welcoming you aboard Tahitian Princess

Boy, that's tough to say. Sometimes, they cancel if they can't get dock space, but I think that's a tender port. Who knows? At least you got some extra time onother islands! The hassle is when you sail all the way out and then have to just turn around and come back without stopping - sorry to anyone who loves sea days! -

Ooo, Rarotonga is dicey - we made land fall, but we were lucky - the three cruises before us and the two after us didn't have the same luck. When we headed back to the ship after lunch, the water was so rough, that they started pulling passengers in early. I think that may be why Princess will stop offering the Cook Islands after this year. This is a shame because it really is a great island and we had way too much fun there.
