Shore Excursions paying?

Should we be paying cash or using our CC to pay for shore excursion - anybody's experience good/bad. Trying to figure out how much cash to bring

We always book Carnival's excursions and the cost is applied to our S&S card. We carry cash for shopping, food/drinks onshore, extra tips, and the casino. We put everything else on our S&S card.

Same as pungo. Those excursions go on the S&S card which is secured with a credit card on embarkation.

We always book our own excursions and do pay with cash or travelers checks once we get there

Really depends on what you are talking about. Booking an excursion using the cruise lines you will be charged with your sign and sail card. Are you talking about independant excursions- some of them you pay before you go- some want a deposit and cash when you get off the ship. Are you talking about waiting to get off the ship and just looking at the peir to see what is offered. (they take cash only too)
