Does anyone know if NCL limits the # of people on their Cayo Levantado excursions?

I asked this on the Dominican Republic board, but so far no response. Just wondering, since they tender the people there using the ships tenders. We can't seem to decide what to do at this port, and thought maybe we would go there as a last resort. Unless they limit the # of people allowed on the island and we are too late to book the excursion.

From what I've read they do limit the number of people they take over. When you book it you sign up for a specific time. I believe there are three tenders (if I'm remembering right :o ) at 10:30, 11:00 & 11:30.

A few months ago on the boards there was a post from a woman who wanted to go but the tour had sold out. She was asking if there was any other way to get there.

I figured I'd better be safe and book it. I also wanted the early tender to maximize my beach time. I got it. :)

We decided a few days before on board that we would like to do this tour after going to the Martini Clinic and meeting some great people who were doing the ship tour. We tried to book it and we were put on a wait list that NEVER cleared. We still got off the ship and tried to walk around town and it was the PITS. I am fairly well traveled around the Caribbean and almost never take ship tours, preferring to venture out on my own and I understand poverty and pushiness and I speak a bit of Spanish but this was awful. It was my biggest regret about Samana and next time I will MAKE SURE I book it WELL AHEAD of TIME!
