Where to stay??

We are going on a Freedom of the seas

2008 arriving a day ahead in Port of Miami..

Where should we stay?:confused:

Have you done a search for Hotels? There are dozens of web sites that will give you the lists, maps, prices, types, etc. etc.

 

We don't know anything about you or what you want or what you can afford.

Motel Six - $69 Hyatt Beach - $250

I just read what I posted, and decided to edit so I can add:

I don't mean for this to sound MEAN or HARSH..... The "Legacy Cruisers" (as we were just called ) on these boards want to help, but you have to give us something to work with.;)

On our previous cruises from Miami we have stayed at the Intercontinental, Hyatt Regency and Mariott all of which were very nice and more than adequate for our pre cruise stay. I would have to say that the Intercontinental was by far the grandest of the three, and its close proximity to Bayside was an added plus.

Unless you get a good price, stay away from the Marriott Biscayne Bay. It badly needs a reno and a good cleaning.

If you can get a room, stay at the Holiday Inn downtown, it is right across the street from the Bayside Market. You can do a boat-tour of the area, stroll along the waterfront shops, eat at "Bubba Gumps", or enjoy the music from which ever band is playing.:) We have stayed there several times, and enjoyed everyone...good luck.
