bev r. Posted January 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Today I received my flight schedule through Princess. We have airport transfers booked through Princess and our flight does not leave until 5:30pm through the Miami airport. On disembarkation will we just be transferred to the airport. If so, any idea when we might get there. I assume with the late departure that we would be one of the last ones to get off the ship. I don't want to spend the day sitting in the airport, so I'm trying to figure out what our options are. We could book one of the princess day excursions or look at renting a car from the airpot to do some site-seeing or shopping. With using the princess transfers, can we use the self disembarking? thanks.
Floflegs Posted January 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2008 We have had Princess transfers twice. The first time we were taken for lunch then to a Mall for shopping. The second time was just for lunch.
paul929207 Posted January 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Cruise lines are anxious to get off the debarking passengers so they can prepare for the arrivals. On our last cruise we were the last ones off and got off at 9:15. Unless you book a tour thru Princess for Miami, they will take you straight to the airport. Hope you have some good books. Toto2Kansas Posted January 15, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2008 If you take one of the princess tours, you will not need to pay for the transfer as after the tour they drop you and your luggage off at the airport. Some of this will depend on the port you are sailing from. I would not suggest transfers if you don't plan on going directly to the airport. LEESRE Posted January 15, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2008 We have a very late flight and Princess are taking us to a hotel for lunch. Have a look on your cruise personaliser and see if it says anything, otherwise ring your TA and ask. We did and they said they had what was called a Miami Hospitality day that was in the price of our cruise.
