When will doc's arrive?

We are cruising March 29, 2008. I can't remember from last time we were on a cruise when we received the doc's.

Anyone know?

It may depend on if you booked with a TA or independently through RC. We usually book independently and have gotten our docs about 6 weeks out.

I booked online and never did get docs in the mail. They just e-mailed the paperwork and told us to get our luggage tags at the pier. It just wasn't the same, so I won't do that again.

For my cruise on Feb 24/08 - I received paper docs on January 21st.

 

For my cruise on March 2/08 - I received paper docs on January 29th.

 

I booked direct with RCI - not sure if that makes a difference?

If we do the on line check in do we still get paper docs and luggage tags in the mail?

 

My cruise is in April and I received an e-mail from RCI encouraging us to check in online....

For my cruise on March 8/08....I got e-docs on January 19th....7 weeks out

You do need to do the online check-in--it makes the actual check-in at the pier so much smoother. If you opted for "snail mail docs", they can come as late as 2weeks prior to sailing. But, you don't need them--luggage tags can be gotten at the pier and there's nothing in the docs that you must have to board.

If you have a cruise brochure, the info that is in there will also be in the docs. The only thing missing from the cruise brochure info is the excursion list. That can be found online.
