Schplinky Posted February 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2008 We are in Key West at the same time as Enchantment. On our two Enchantment cruises, when there has been another ship in port, we have always got the dock that was close in (near Mallory square) which allowed us to walk off the ship and be in the middle of everything, while the other ship (in both cases, a Carnival ship) was docked further out and had to use a shuttle. Does anyone have experience with what happens when Enchantment and Century are both there, at the same time?
Rare WNcruiser Posted February 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2008 Just returned today from Century. We docked on the farther one and had to take a shuttle. It was very fast and well done (Like the entire cruise), constant service both directions all day. Only took about 3-4 minutes. I will post a review shortly... bububr Posted February 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2008 When we were there in January, we had to dock at the Military pier and be shuttled in by the Conch train which was basically a pain in the .......neck! Aside from that upon return the military had to check your Id's and bags before going back through which was also a you know what! Check with cruisecal.com or the port of Key West calenders to see which piers are designated for each ship. Dave:eek:

I presumed this might be the case. RCL always seems to have a lock on the close-in space. Did you tender or dock in Cozumel?
Rare WNcruiser Posted February 4, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2008 The Granduer of the Seas took "our" spot in Key West. It was also docked next to us in Cozumel. We docked at the TMM International Pier, it's the farther one if your not familiar with it.
Schplinky Posted February 4, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted February 4, 2008 Thanks. Our beach club is at that end so we don't mind the docking spot.

Schplinky Posted February 4, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted February 4, 2008 Thanks. If I'm reading it correctly, we're at the further pier.
miamigirl814 Posted February 4, 2008 #9 Share Posted February 4, 2008 What does 7:00 AM Enchantment(B) PEV/Coz dpt 1400 mean? That is the ship that I will be on in Key West in August. Thanks.
Schplinky Posted February 4, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted February 4, 2008 I'm guessing it means the ship arrives at 7 a.m. from Port Everglades on its way to Cozumel, leaving at 2p.m. Dock B is the "good" dock.
crazybus Posted February 5, 2008 #11 Share Posted February 5, 2008 If you are docked at B you will be right next to Mallory Square. It is when a third ship is in port that they dock at the outer mole and you have to be shuttled.
miamigirl814 Posted February 5, 2008 #12 Share Posted February 5, 2008 OK, thanks for the info! I didn't know what DOCK B meant!!
