Duty Free - Scotch

We are headed out on Majesty of the Seas in April - Bahamas. Has anyone bought any McCallen 12 or 18 duty free? I was curious about pricing, Mc 12 is about $55 hear in TN.

If you're flying, don't forget about the weight limits on checked luggage--you can't carry the scotch on the plane--it has to be properly packaged and checked!

Thanks, forgot about the liquid rules.....now, if my luggage hits the weight limit for a 3 night cruise, then I have a whole other set of issues to deal with.

Last month, I bought a liter of Macallan Elegancia 12 year old for $30 in Progresso, Mexico. Check the prices of booze while you are in Nassau for comparison. The MOS liquor store might carry it for about $34.

What airline are you flying?

 

Yesterday someone posted on CC that unless the bottle is packed IN STYROFOAM, they confiscate it. It's gone, gone, gone. That was on UNITED Airlines.
