WiFi on Vision.....

has anyone taken a laptop on Vision? How was the reception? Did you have access throughout the ship? Only in room? Only in 'hot' spot?

Had reception only in hot spots. Some were better than others. There is a map available when you sign up. Could not get it in my room, but I was in an aft cabin. maybe the reception would be better mid-ship.

I had the same experience - cabin reception was very weak, but midships was fine, and much faster than the ship's computers - one sea day I was happily doing my business in the Internet cafe while several people tried unsuccessfully to connect.

I just remembered, I had fantastic reception in the Some Enchanted Evening lounge during the day. It was usually empty (except for Bingo and other assorted activities, but otherwise it was a great place to surf and read email.

The Solarium also has great reception, but it's kind of hot & humid in there, which is uncomfortable for me and probably not very good for the computer.

Lol!! I need it so that I can download our pix into it! I can always buy a few more gb's for my cam also... we'll see....
