Motel in Miami

WE have used the Holiday Inn Port of Miami- it is overlooking the port, you can see your ship arrive, and it is directly across the street from the Bayside Marketplace which is a great way to spend a pre-cruise evening, lots of restaurants, bars, retail stores, and it is set around a Marina so you can watch boats coming and going.

They do not provide a shuttle. From the airport to the hotel is around $24 and from the hotel to the pier in the morning is $8.

Depending on what time of year you are staying, this hotel price is in the moderate range.

Is there a good choice for a motel between the airport and port? Is there a motel near the airport that has a shuttle to the port?

The best rates will be at hotels near the airport. There are several that have a shuttle to the port, some complimentary. Do a search on this board and you'll find lots of them mentioned. Check the hotels' home site to see what the going rate for the dates you need. The Holiday Inn is extremely popular with cruisers , so will charge a premium price for a so so hotel. Because of its location, it is often filled.
