Senior Discounts

I'm new to this forum and have already learned much in a short time.

Yesterday I read about senior discounts on Azamara, but when I called my TA

today, she said I was not eligible as I received on board credit instead. She

also indicated that senior discounts are not available for every itinerary or

every date. My husband and I will be on the Journey for the Baltic Sea cruise on 7/7 and the Norwegian Fjords cruise on 7/19. Does anyone know if senior discounts were offered on either of these? Thanks, and I'm looking forward to meeting fellow CC's who will be on board.:)

Hello Cruisecountess !

Welcome to the Azamara Board, and Cruise Critic !

I do not know if Senior discounts are available or not on your sailings, but you can always call Azamara directly at 1-877-999-9553, and I am sure they can assist you.

Have a wonderful time on Journey !

Receiving and onboard credit does not disqualify you for senior discount. The seinor discount may not be available when you book, but if you keep checking back it may become available later and you can request the price reduction at that time. Sometimes the senior rate is only offered in some categories so you may find that you can move up a category and still get a lower rate. Glad I am retired - getting the best rate is a full time job :D.

Good advice always call the cruise line directly.

or a TA that specializes in Azamara..IMHO I really dont think calling the cruise line direct is always the best way to book!
