Gerry Franchi Posted April 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2008 :D Can someone please tell me what time you have to get off the PG on the last day of the cruise. Thank you in advance for your info. This is a great web sight for everything you need to know about your cruise.:)
ChatKat in Ca. Posted April 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2008 If you booked your air via Regent, they have a day room planned at a local hotel for you and you will have an option of staying on board until lunchtime and then being bussed to the Radisson Hotel or taking an island tour of Papeete before being transferred for your day room. If you did not book air through Regent, I think the time to debark was about 10am. This is what they did in 2005, so it may have changed.
mikenbob Posted April 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Disembarkation from PG is based on your travel plans. A few days before the end of your cruise you will be asked to submit a form detailing your plans. Based on this information, you will be issued a specific color of luggage tag the night before disembarkation. Throughout the morning, they will call for specific color luggage tag groups to exit the ship. As mentioned previously, passengers flying home that evening with Regent provided transportation are allowed to stay on the ship through lunch (although you will need to exit your room for cleaning) and will then have a day room at either the Radisson or Intercontinental (based on your cabin and air line class of service). A bus will take you to the airport a few hours before your flight. A better option is to stow away and never leave! We have been on the PG a couple of times and it is a wonderful experience in paradise...have a great cruise!
Wendy The Wanderer Posted April 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Is the part of the post-cruise dayroom based on cabin class true? I know it was in the "old days", but I understood that they used the Radisson exclusively now. Has that changed again?
canadagal Posted April 30, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2008 I also thought you had the option of purchasing the last day package from Regent ( the hotel day room, staying longer on the ship and transfers) even if you used your own air. Has this changed too. Pat
Iamboatman Posted April 30, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2008 That is still an option. Remember a little secret: They won't hunt you down and throw you off the ship, so hanging around (and even having lunch) may not be an issue at all. We utilized the Intercontinental post-cruise for the day, which is where we stayed pre-cruise. No charge to use their day rooms or facilities. Pay for items via credit card. So if you just want to hang by the pool, swim, eat, take a shower and change, it can be an extremely nice (and close to the airport) option.
