Back with RCCL

Recommended Posts

My wife and I were looking forward to traveling on Celebrity's new Solstice next February, but after reviewing our choices, decided to cancel and instead travel on Liberty of the Seas.

This will be our fourth RCCL cruise, and it wasn't a difficult choice. For equivalent balcony rooms, the Liberty cruise will save us $1400 versus what we would have had to pay for the Solstice.

That, plus the fact that we are going on the Caribbean Princess in June 2009, made the choice a no brainer: roughly the same ports, larger ship, similar room, lots of savings.

Even though Celebrity is supposed to be a step up from its sister company, the difference in prices just wasn't worth it.

The point of my post: even after booking a cruise look around and see what else is out there. Prices do change.

We just got back from Liberty and you will love her. The ship is gorgeous and the service and food was fantastic. The shows were also really good for the most part. Really could not find anytbing we did not like. Enjoy, we are going to sail on Liberty again in 2010.
