Is this dress appropriate?

Hi, first time cruiser here. We are going on the 4 day Carnival Inspiration next week! I've read that 4 day cruises tend to be more casual on "Elegant" night. I bought this dress:

Is this appropriate? If it's not dressy enough, I have other options of dresses I've worn to weddings.

That dress is beautiful! We went on the 5 day sailing of the Inspiration last year. We saw anything from Jeans, to Sunday best, to evening gowns on formal night. So, it seems as though anything goes.

Beautiful dress, but boy,did I get a 60s flashback looking at that. I used to make that dress in tie dyed material. I even made one out of a pretty bedspread once.

I made it floor length, and long sleeved, but its the same hippy dress I used to wear... by the dozens...lol

 

You will look gorgous, and don't worry, most won't remember the 60s...lol
