CLQ Posted May 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2008 on the radiance class at the ends or the middle of the hump we are in 7596 and the balcony looks smaller then the rest We had a similar room one deck up, 8600. If you look at the diagrams, we were in what should be a mirror-twin to yours on that part of the hump. The cabin was pretty standard, and just fine for the two of us. As for the balcony, it is pie-shaped so to speak. We prefer aft balconies, so for us it was smallish. But, we've not been able to cruise aft on every one. We consider this a sit-stand balcony. There are 2 small upright chairs and a small table. Ironically, on Serenade we spent probably as much time out on our balcony as we have on any trip just about. The one thing you'd want to know is that if you keep this cabin, the 2nd chair may have to be turned inward a little. That end of the balcony is narrow. I have a picture in my Webshots album of EBQ sitting in that chair on the balcony. Overall, it was a great place to stay.
cb at sea Posted May 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2008 The middle of the hump has a standard depth balcony. It's the cabins at the beginning and end of the hump where the balcony is deeper. None are any wider.
GlenandVal Posted May 14, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted May 14, 2008 thanks very much I will keep what we have or keep checking to see if a cabin closer to the middle comes available we would be mostly standing so we can see over the railing as when we sit our eyes seem to be at the railing view thanks

Which end is the beginning and which end is the end?
Barkeeper Posted May 14, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2008 We were on Jewel (Radiance Class) last August in 7054. Balcony was certainly deep enough for both chairs to face forwards towards the ocean with space to stand infront as well. Plenty of room for 2 people to enjoy. suzyluvs2cruise Posted May 14, 2008 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2008 We were in 8590..............the same cabin but one deck up. Here's a picture of the balcony from the inside of the cabin. Yes it's a bit small.............and pie shaped.........but we loved it for the location.
