What was the best deal you ever got on a Carnival cruise?

We did the Victory, 4 night to Canada from New York, early June.

Got a great deal of $850.00 total for the 2 of us. We used our $800 MBNA Carnival voucher (not available anymore). So the total out of pocket = $50.

Booked an oceanview guarantee and got upgraded to a balcony.

For less than a nice dinner, we had a great, 4 day cruise!!!

I think our best cruise deal was the one we will be taking Nov. 27th. Paid $560.00 pp plus tax and port on the Legend for a 8 day exotic cruise to Panama, Belize and Costa Rica. To me, that's great. I just hope I get that upgrade they promised!

We booked the 7-Day Elation cruise from Galveston leaving October 24th for $389pp then $299 for the third person in the room. Sure it is an inside room but it was too good of a deal to pass up. They even moved us up from a 4A to a 4D when we got our Docs.

Well, we have gotten many great deals with Carnival, but to date, the BEST deal we got was for this coming February on the Miracle. We have a Category 4 guarantee for 519 a person plus port. I think that is a great deal considering it is President's Week and very very cold here in the northeast!

We got a free cruise on the Fascination for attending a timeshare presentation. We only had to pay port charges and taxes. We had a 1A guarantee and were upgraded to a 4A. We leave on the November 1st cruise!!! (my husband said it wasn't free, he had to sit through the time share presentation and that was worth a lot!!!!)

We also did this in Nov 2003 it was a great cruise and now we are booked for a 7 night cruise. Your DH is right we paid for it dearly. We bought the timeshare and we are going to Ca.in march and staying in a 2 bedroom condo for $120.not bad for 6 people for a week.

My wife and I,and another couple we know were guests of Carnival, courtesy of our TA to spend the night on the Miracle the night before her inaugural sailing out of Jacksonville.

We were able to board early in the afternoon, and were assigned a cat 8A balcony stateroom.

Everything on the ship except the casinos and gift shops were open, all of the shows were performed, and everything (including premium drinks!) was free!

We were on the Fantasy in January 2001 and we got a 4 day cruise for 250.00 pp including taxes and port charges.

We are booked for January 29 2005 in an 8d on the Glory for 844.00 pp including taxes and port charges. My TA called Carnival and the Rep quoted her the wrong price which was the 844.00 pp,I was on the other line and my TA came back to me and told me the price and I told her to definetly book it well when she went back to book it the rep said they made a mistake and it was 1100.00 pp.Well the more I thought about it the more it aggravated me so I called Carnival back and told the Rep that answered the phone what had happened and they sent me to a Supervisor and I explained what had happened and the price we were quoted and she wanted to call my TA and see if she told the same story which she did.Well to make a long story short we got our cruise for the price we were quoted.

For our upcoming 5 night cruise in December, OV GTE--$675. That price is for 2 and includes port charges and taxes, this is with a military discount. And since it's out of our home port of Jacksonville, so no air fare!

Our best deal was on the Destiny....the week of the 9/11 disaster. We were on the island of Antigua when the attack occurred...sitting on the beach. I will say that it did make the cruise seem sad at a lot of times...however...our cd and the cruise staff were wonderful.

Now, about the deal that we got, we booked an 8a balcony. The deal was book a balcony and get free air. Free air to San Juan! So ... our cruise cost us $1050 for a balcony and free air per person!
