How long to get off the ship?

My husband and I will be on the Destiny on July 20th, we are docking in Antigua on July 25th at 8:00. I have to be at Jolly Harbour for 9:00. How long does it take to get off the boat? The taxi ride to Jolly Harbour is about 20mins and I need to get off the boat ASAP..do you think this is possible?

Thanks

I suspect Destiny's Antigua routine is much like its Barbados routine

where the ship physically comes alongside at about 7 a.m.

The '8 a.m.' time the cruising public is given

is the time Carnival allows to get properly docked, do gangways and other stuff

before the all-clear announcement comes over the P.A. at 8:00 a.m.

telling you you're free to go ashore!

Thus you should have an hour clear to get to wherever.

Have breakfast early and be downstairs at the Security checkpoint at 7:59:30

waiting for the good news over the P.A. system -and you're outa there!
