loveJake Posted July 4, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 4, 2008 We went a few years ago, it is the funniest thing I have ever seen. The is a small zoo there, not too great, but we had a good time. There is a bird house you can go in and the birds sit all over you. We went on our own. Hired a taxi which took us for a tour and then dropped us off at the zoo. After we were done they called a cab for us at the ticket window. Don't remember the cost.
Vger12 Posted July 4, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 4, 2008 I highly recommend seeing Ardastra Zoo & Gardens, and the flamingo show. Of course I had read about the so-called "marching flamingos" several times prior to our visit, but just thought it was probably somebody "chasing" the birds around. Boy, was I wrong! They do actually obey voice commands. Go - You'll enjoy that one!
scubagirrl Posted July 4, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 4, 2008 anyone hear or know anything about a flamingo show on one of the bahama stops? thanks Ardastra gardens has a flamingo show several times a day.. it's located just outside of town. A quick cab, or the # 10 jitney to arawak cay and a block or so walk up the roadway. www.ardastra.com
kcparrothead Posted August 13, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 13, 2008 I have a question - I'm looking at a cruise that will take us to Nassau, but we'll only be there from 7 to 2. If we were to head to Ardastra and see the first flamingo show at 10:30 then leave, would we have time to go to a beach for a couple hours? What beach? thanks in advance!!!
