How long to tour Brimstone Hill Fortress

Just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to walk through the Brimstone Hill Fortress. I want to be able to do both the tour and go to a beach. Just don't think I'll have enough time. Thanks for any info you can give me.

I spent about an hour and pretty much saw it all. You didn't say how much time you are in port, but my ship left at 4 pm and I went to both the fortress and Cockleshell Beach.

Thanks...we're in port from 7am to 3pm, but Brimstone Hill doesn't open until 9:30. Do you happen to remember how long it took you drive to Cockelshell beach from the fortress? Did you take a taxi, and if so how much did it cost? Thanks for the reply and any future info you may have.

It's now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Do you think it would be better for us to see the Fortress and then go to a closer beach like South Frigate? Or is Cockelshell the place to go? Thanks again for the info.
