closest beaches to pier?

We want to combine walking around town, shopping and a short beach stop during our day in Cozumel since it's our first time there. What would be our best beach choice if we choose to not hire a taxi? I'm sure these places will be crowded, right?

Are there any close hotels to the pier that have a pool and a nice view of the water?

Are you looking for an All Inclusive day pass?

Cozumel Palace is really nice and it is located in town.

For a nice Hotel without sandy beach...check out El Cid (dont waste time on timeshare presentation though)..for sandy beaches...invest in a 5 minute taxi ride to sandy beaches like San Francisco, Paradise Beach, Nachi Cocom, etc...it is worth it, due to the nature of Cozumel you will not find sandy beaches right next to downtown or cruise piers...

How much are these places and what do they offer? This site needs a search tab!

We really enjoyed our All inclusive day at Passion Island. We took a taxi, then met up with a ferry for a short ride over. This place is gorgeous, has hammocks to lounge in, Mexican buffet and open bar. Some of the Corona beer commercials have been shot there. We booked thru Carrie at www.*****; much better than thru ship cause you can stay as long as you want. You can come back to pier in plenty of time for shopping and on the taxi ride, you get to see a lot of Cozumel.
