charted cruise

I just booked a cruise on RCCL in October out of Boston to Bermuda on Jewel of the seas through internet. When I went online to the RCCL website it wasn't posted so I called the travel agent and they told me it was a chartered cruise. Then I called RCCL and they told me chartered cruises are very common and indeed this ship was chartered. What does this mean? Thanks in advance. Karen

It means that a group has rented the entire ship for that cruise, canins on a chartered cruise can only be purchased from the company, group that chatered the ship.

Since we can't mention Travel Agencies by name you'll have to look it up yourself.
