Tiger55 Posted September 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2008 In the Edocs for our cruise, it gives you your email address for while you are on the ship. How does this work? Just curious since I was looking at ways for family members to contact me since a member of my family is failing in health. I saw there was a number that they could call also to get in touch with the ship. I don't want to bring my cell phone since I don't want my place of work to be contacting me while I'm on vacation:D
crew mom Posted September 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2008 You can use the e-mail address that the ship gives you or you can access your regular e-mail address if you like. It's up to you. Basically NCL provides an e-mail address for those that may not have one.

There is an emergency number for ship to shore messages that should be noted in your edocs. The directions for using this method will also be explained in the edocs - basically, who ever is calling must have a credit card available to bill the call to before it's put through to your ship (around $8.00 a minute) If the unwanted call comes and you are not in your cabin to receive it a message will be left for you to contact the caller. garycarla Posted September 19, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2008 The cruisemail is a bit expensive. I might suggest you give friends either that or the ships phone number. You could then call back using your personal cell phone (at only $2.49 per minute). I am assumig you would leave your cell phone turned off otherwise to avoid those dimwits from work calling you.
