Solboys Posted September 28, 2008 #12 Share Posted September 28, 2008 Hi Gavin, Yes we are really looking forward to our trip. It will be 28 years since we first sailed together on QE2 in November 1980. So QE2 holds a very special place in our hearts. As you say the time seems to have passed by very quickly, and every one will be saying their last goodbyes. What did you decide about flying out to Dubai to see her arrive.? Will you be in Southampton on the Monday night before her final departure.? Regards, Steve and Mark.

Hi Steve and Mark, I have decided not to travel to Dubai and i will probably not go to see her depart Southampton as i think it will be too sad, maybe i will regret both desicions. In which case the last time i will see her is when i disembark on October 27th :( regards, Gavin

I can't believe your final trip is almost here. Doesn't seem that long ago you told me you'd gotten your special cabin for this last voyage. For sure I'll be thinking of you as I watch her webcam when you leave Southampton for the very last time. And I"ll probably cry buckets sitting over here at the departure of a very elegant lady. Hope all is well with you both..... Cheers, Penny Penny’s Affair to Remember QM2 Review http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=471053 November 10,2007...the “Affair” continued...did it ever!
