TonyFred Posted October 20, 2008 #26 Share Posted October 20, 2008 Another odd camera story comes to mind. I decided to buy a video camera for an Alaskan cruise on the Norwegian Sky several years ago. I found a good deal on a used camera on Ebay. When it arrived, it had a tape in it. Of course I decided to see what was on it. Now get this....it was a tape someone had made on AN ALASKAN CRUISE ON THE NORWEGIAN SKY. I thought I was on candid camera or something....what are the odds? I contacted the person I bought it from, but they had bought the camera at a pawn shop and had no idea of who the tape belonged to. I just thought that was an amazing coincidence.
bluesea777 Posted October 20, 2008 #27 Share Posted October 20, 2008 Each time I start a new disc in my digital camera, the very FIRST picture I take is of a paper that I've typed my name, home address and cell phone number (including zip code) on. Should my camera go missing they would have the opportunity to return the camera, or as least my disc! Is it a good to have a thief know the address of your empty home.... JohnIreland is right (he beat me to this). Put your work address instead of home. When we travel our work address and tel no is put on our luggage tags.
LOWTYD Posted October 21, 2008 #28 Share Posted October 21, 2008 I'm almost certain he would of been kicked off the ship at the next port. We did ask what would happen to him but they basically said the would take care of it and not to worry. She got her money back. It was the last night (around 11:30 pm) so maybe they just sent him on his merry way but I would like to tihink he got in sort of trouble. A slap on the wrist is an invitation to try again! maybe he got banned from NCL:)

sweetp Posted October 21, 2008 #30 Share Posted October 21, 2008 Wouldn't every inch of the casino be covered in CCTV ? yeah, we were told they don't use the cameras for that purpose but everytime we kept going into the casino.... they kept asking us if we had any luck in finding it... ???? sounds like they expected me to do a room to room search for pete's sake... i can't believe they couldn't look on the cameras for a mere 5 minute time frame..... that was a $450 camera! i understand they are not liable, however, to do absolutely nothing was was incredibly unprofessional and irresponsible for any company, let alone for a company in the people pleasing business.
