Skyhawk61 Posted November 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2008 OK - don't get me wrong. I'm not overly obsessed with dining, or the restaurants - and I'm not planning on gaining 10 pounds on my cruise, but.... If you go to one of the restaurants with a cover charge (I'm thinking Cagney's), once you're there, is it all you can eat, or is it just a dinner? If I want an extra dessert, or an extra side - is there an extra charge? Burp!
CruisinMK Posted November 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2008 I think only one main course in specialty restaurants except the asian one. Side dishes & dessert as you like.
islandgirlejfan Posted November 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2008 I can't answer your question for sure...I wouldn't think there would be a charge, and I am only saying that because I had 3 *side* items, but I just gotta tell you that you will roll back to your cabin after dinner. My husband ordered the *larger* prime rib and it was all he could do to eat it!
garycarla Posted November 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2008 You can always walk off dinner on the way to the buffet for a second go round! Then walk off that on the way to the casino where they often put out a snack late at night. They walk that off on the way to the cabin and order room service. Just kidding of course! Who would bother walking that far!

In response to the OP...you can order as many appetizers, side orders, soups, salads and deserts in the surcharge restaurants and there is no additional charge. I do believe, however, you can order more than one entree in the Asian restaurant. I read on this mb, that one couple ordered three entrees and split them. They were encouraged by the waitress to do that because they couldn't make up their minds which entree to order. Just my opinion but I believe the surcharge restaurants are worth every penny you pay for them.

That is exactly what happened to us on the Pearl a month ago. Not even a second thought from the staff, but there was from us when we realized how much food there actually was on the table. It tooks us all night to finish. But we had a lot of fun.:p
