Evilgrin72 Posted November 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2008 Anyone recently off Mariner? I know you can smoke on balconies, but not in-room, and on the starbaord side of all outside decks. However, it says that it varies from ship to ship which bars allow/disallow smoking. Anyone have any idea what the breakdown is on Mariner? Thanks. Evilgrin72 Posted November 18, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted November 18, 2008 Thanks. Anyone know about the bars/lounges that are smoking/non? Surely, there must be either a smoker or someone with a severe smoke aversion who recently sailed MOS...
FL_Cruiser64 Posted November 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2008 Mariner 11/2/08, smoking was port side. But, it may alternate sailing. ship by ship???? Heck sometimes it alternates deck to deck. LMAO On the Freedom in September smoking on Deck 12 (Sun Deck) was starboard and on Deck 11 (pool deck) port side. It cause a lot of confusion in the beginning.:D

I have a severe aversion to smoking threads, will I do? My "recent" Mariner cruise was in June so recent is relative. Boleros is smoking and so is the Pub on the promenade. Schooner bar and 19th hole are non-smoking. As far as other bars and lounges we visited, I think Lotus lounge and Ellington's are non-smoking. There are signs posted on the outside decks as to which is smoking and which isn't so just look for those. I don't remember if it was port or starboard. Love2Cruise081382 Posted November 18, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 18, 2008 Hi, We just got off the Mariner this past Sunday. As you said; smoking is permitted on your balcony and on the outside decks on the PORT side. It's also allowed in sections of Ellington's (deck 14), The Lotus Lounge (deck 5 fwd), the Wig and Gavel and Boleros

Evilgrin72 Posted November 18, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted November 18, 2008 Thanks, all. The Sports Bar (19th Hole) is non-smoking? Really? Seems like that should be one of the few places they do allow it, but I'm not complaining...
