Corking fee

Just open the wine in your cabin and take a glass of wine with you to dinner.

One glass would never make the trip from my cabin to the DR. :o

So do I, but I wish they "allowed" you to carry on more than one bottle each. If a cruise is 3 nights, you can bring one bottle; if your cruise is 7 nights, you can bring one bottle. Doesn't make much sense to me, but I'm glad they allow it in the first place.

You can also check a bottle or two, if you are willing to risk breakage.

I'm curious if the size of the bottle of wine is restricted to the 750 size or can I bring a 1.50?

Technically, it is 750 ml.

So basically. I bought a bottle of wine from the bon voyage dept. I board the ship and take the bottle to any bar to uncork it and bring it back to my room. I wont pay the fee? correct?

You don't need to take it to a bar. Take a corkscrew in your checked luggage - or ask your cabin steward for one. They have small ones as giveaways.

Corkage relates only to the dining room. However, since you bought your wine from Bon Voyage, you can take it to the dining room and let them know that. You certainly won't be charged. OR you can just enjoy it in your cabin.
