Rare Coral Posted November 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2004 How much should I expect to pay for a private taxi (safari type is fine) for a tour around St. Thomas and to Megan's Bay plus a pick up after a few hours. I will be traveling with my mom who is visually impaired and with a service dog. I think a Safari type taxi would be best. I got a price through Godfrey's of $65/hour and I definitely don't want to pay that much but do want to pay a fair price. Thank you!
The Islander Posted November 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2004 Hello Coral, Here is information from the taxi regulations & rates sheet: Sightseeing Tours: 2 hours - One or two passengers $40 each; three or more passengers $20 each. 3 hours - One or two passengers $50 each; three or more passengers $25 each. Hourly rates: Sedan/Mini Van $35; Van $50; Safari $75. There shall be no extra charge for seeing-eye dogs. More taxi rate info. at: http://*****/stthomas/getting_around_stt/taxi_stt/ You don't need to pre-arrange transport from Magens Bay to the ship there are always taxis there. The taxi fare would be about $6 a person one way. --Islander *****
