Another stupid Sanctuary question!

As for the sanctuary on the Crown, I think that depending on the position of the ship, there may be a couple of loungers in the sun, but most are under cover. This is quite comfortable on both warm and cooler days. There is a 'no charge' sundeck right outside the sanctuary, however. You can see right in. The adult pool is just under the sanctuary, surrounded by the spa / healthclub area where you can find the restrooms (very nice ones, by the way). Hope this answers your questions.

I think most of the same class of ships would have a similar design but for those that are being retrofitted to accomodate the sanctuary, the layout of this area may be different.

There's no pool designated specifically for the people using the sanctuary but on the Ruby, Emerald and Crown you only have to walk down one flight of stairs to get to the Lotus pool. It's a shallow pool which is about 4.5 feet deep with a current generator at one end.

You are assigned a lounger but they will move them into the sun/shade as requested. Ours were under the shade screen but we often had them oved into complete shade or bright sunshine. The Lotus Pool (swim against the current adult only pool) and hot tubs are down one flight of stairs and there are restrooms with showers/sauna/steam rooms just inside the Spa doors.

They must have a lot more sun space on the Emerald than they do on the Crown. There was only a small space that got sun and there wouldn't have been room to move more lounge chairs there throughout the day without them being on top of each other.
