FOS 4/26 advice

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We are going ona a Western Caribbean cruise April 26th and have a few questions:

What is the best or cheapest way to get from FLL to the Port of Miami?

What is the usual table minimums in the Casino?

Is there still a midnight buffet?

Is the food as bad as what I have been reading?

Are many of the ships ammenities available during Ports? I heard some people like to stay on board during Ports as it's less crowded at the pool and such???

Speaking of crowds, how are they?

Any must do's? or DO NOT's?

I appreciate the help!!!!!

Casino min. for BJ is usually $5--same for Craps.

No more midnight buffet.

The food isn't bad at all---it's just that if you've sailed RCI in the past, you'll notice a difference. If you've never sailed them, then you'll be full and happy!

Almost everything is open on port days, except the shops and casino. The bars, the pool, mini-golf, etc...are all available.

The ship's are designed that you don't "feel" crowded--unless a show is letting out---there's a crowd then!

Do's and don'ts---DO what you want! Don't do what doesn't interest you! Do have fun!

Take good care of the ship...I'm getting on when you get off. Don't miss the ice show (awesome). Make sure you have breakfast and lunch (at least once) in the dining room. You beat the crowds of the windjammer and can be in a relaxing setting where you are waited on. Make sure you try flowrider too! If you haven't tried a specialty restaurant on any of the ships, make sure you take advantage of it. It is worth the small fee that's charged. If you are a drinker, try a Bushwacker...they are awesome and will cool you off on a hot day!

When we were headed to the Port of Miami, we just grabbed a taxi there and it seemed reasonable. There are also vans that load up several people and that's even a little cheaper. We didn't reserve anything in advance.

Have a great cruise!
